We noticed you're missing the following item(s), which are essential to lead or participate in a Book Club:
Evie & the Secret of Small Things Storybook
I am so excited for this class! If you know the power of homeopathy, you’ll want to share this incredible information with everyone you know who’s willing to listen. It’s so rewarding to see others gain the right knowledge about health. Give them a motivating and enjoyable method to learn homeopathic remedies and the history behind homeopathy. This groundbreaking literature-based curriculum Book Club introduces everyone to homeopathy in a significant and intriguing way. Using this book and handbook will give everyone a health toolkit they will always remember and be able to use for a lifetime. Here’s an overview of what you’ll learn: ****Unit 1: The Terrain is Everything**** This first unit is designed to “prime the pump” (or in this case, the mind) around the principles that govern homeopathy. You meet the father of terrain theory, Antoine Béchamp, and the father of the theory of suppression, Louis Pasteur. These concepts prepare you to understand the powerful lessons about homeopathy. ****Unit 2: Unlocking Homeopathy**** Once the groundwork has been laid in Unit 1, Unit 2 introduces you to the basic precepts of homeopathic medicine. It covers the history of homeopathy by introducing Samuel Hahnemann, discusses the dangers of suppressing disease, and helps you think critically about various treatments found in conventional medicine. This unit also introduces you to a central book in homeopathic medicine, the Materia Medica. We also touch on the idea that homeopathic remedies can be made from various existing substances. You will also get some great tips about best practices when working with a homeopath, and finally, if you have The Family Homeopathy Journal, you will go over 'timelines' and how it helps you understand the big picture when it comes to your or a family member's health journey. ****Unit 3: The Laws of Homeopathy**** You will learn more about the source materials that make up homeopathic medicines. You will also think about what it means to prove a homeopathic remedy, how you can avoid it, and what you can do if you have proven one. One of the exciting parts of this lesson is learning about what a homeopathic Repertory is and how it works (generally speaking). You will even go through a simple acute case, using a Repertory. If you have The Family Homeopathy Journal, you will go over the special index in the back of the book where you can take alphabetized notes - from remedies, to keynotes, and more! ****Unit 4: Homeopathic Medicines for Accidents**** In Unit 4 you learn about the keynotes to 19 different homeopathic remedies. You even get to study about each remedy via the video library in the Online Book Club Area. These videos feature interviews with two incredible homeopaths: Annie Batchelor (RSHom) and Christophe Merville (Director of Education and Pharmacy Development at Boiron, USA). You also continue to practice some more acute case-taking by going through some more illnesses. Oh! And you get to learn about fantastic homeopathy books that should be part of any budding homeopath's library. If you have The Family Homeopathy Journal, in this unit, you get to look at where you can keep track of the homeopathy books you want/have gotten, where you can keep track of the remedies you need to buy, and so much more.
We will meet on the following dates:
September 20, 27
October 4, 11, 18, & 25
November 1 & 8
from 7 - 9:30 pm Mountain Time over Zoom.
Classes will be recorded and uploaded to view later if needed.

** What is the class schedule? **
We are meeting Tuesdays at 7 pm Mountain Daylight Time.
** Who can participate? **
Any adults who wish to learn more about homeopathy!
** What curriculum will you be using to teach this class? **
I will be using Paola Brown’s Book Club Program: Evie and the Secret of Small Things—A Homeopathy Primer for Adults. This program is part of Paola’s Teach Me Health and Homeopathy curriculum which has been endorsed by the Academy of Homeopathy Education. This program goes a bit deeper than the curriculum that is designed for kids grades 1-12.
** What are the costs associated with joining this Book Club? **
There is a $50 enrollment cost for the 8-weeks of classes plus the cost of the story book and handbook (plus shipping and any other optional items you select to purchase).
The $50 (this pays the leader for the time, effort, and costs to prepare, conduct, and record/upload the 8 weeks of classes to be viewed later if a class is missed) can be Venmoed to me as the Book Club leader; and then the story book and handbook can be purchased on Paola’s website (you can bypass the option to pay the $50 enrollment cost on her website when you register as a participant in my book club – this is nice b/c then I don’t have to pay fees on the money transfer so this is why I prefer Venmo, but do what is best for you, as some may use a credit card to pay, which works also).
The story book and handbook are required purchases to join the book club. The story book can be obtained in digital audio ($28), CD audio ($40), or paper book ($40) formats. Only one form of the book is needed and the digital audio is immediately available when selected. The paper Handbook ($36), that is also a required purchase, will come in the mail and be in paper/book format, but you will also have immediate access to this as an audio file on Paola’s website as well. Over 40 videos come with the purchase of this handbook that are available in your “Online Book Club Area” of Paola’s website; and when you’ve completed the full 8-week program, you’ll receive an incredible online Graduation Gift full of incredible items.
If you're like me and end up wanting the paper copy of the book so you can highlight throughout and/or if you like the "old" technology (like me) with the CD's, then it will cost more. And/or if you want the optional journal and/or if you want the optional Memory Work music (that can be purchased as CDs or as an I-phone download off I-tunes) and/or if you want the optional card game, then it will cost more than the $64 (for the digital story book [$28] and the paper handbook [$36]) plus shipping.
It all depends on what you want. But really look into if you want the optional items or more than one form of the book, as the shipping costs are like $7 each time something is purchased separately, rather than together (ask me how I know - ha ha). And how Paola has it set up is: it saves her money to sell two or more books at the same time, so she passes that savings along to us (notice the prices are crossed out in black font color and a lower price in green font color). So if one form of the book is purchased with the handbook, then the prices you will notice are less. But if you want the journal later by itself, then it will be full price (black font color) instead of the slashed price (green font color), unless you want another form of her book to go along with your journal or unless you want two journals instead.
(And if you’re reading this after the sign up deadline date, with the lateness of the time and you still want to join the book club, it is a very good idea to purchase the digital download of the book so you can start listening to it now to be ready for the first class, as I’d imagine the paper copies will arrive in the mail later than the first class or you can select/pay for a faster shipping option.)
Anyway, that's the long of it. But for someone that wants to just get going, it is $64 plus shipping costs to mail the paper handbook to you (the $64 covers the cost of the paper Handbook and the Digital Story Book). Then you can decide later if you want anything else.
But I highly recommend the Memory Work Music too. It can be purchased from I-tunes **STORE** [not “I-tunes music”] (search “Jayna Ray” or “Teach Me Health and Homeopathy” to find it there) or as a CD (you get 2 CDs of it - one with the lyrics sung to music and one with talking the lyrics before the lyrics are sung to music – android version is not available and I'm an android girl so I bought the music CD's). But this is optional. (She also has an incredible card game!)
There is also the journal that is optional, where one can keep notes of which remedies they've used for which illnesses for up to 8 family members and space for writing down your own notes in a "Materia Medica/Repertory" type of way (that you'll learn more about as we get through the book club). And a lot more in the journal where you can keep lists of remedies you need to purchase, books you’ve purchased and/or want to purchase, sizes of pellets/jars/etc. and more. But, again, it's optional and a regular notebook can be used for a journal for notes as well if you prefer that.
And if you go there and notice her Children's Curriculum and want to purchase it, if you use the discount code: delightful10, you'll receive 10% off that particular bundle and then you’ll already have the paper story book so you’ll only need to order the Handbook to do the Book Club. (Yet, again, if it’s close to the start of class 1, you will want the digital download of the story book as well to get started on listening to it immediately to be ready for class, as it will take some time for the paper copies/CD’s to arrive in the mail or you will want to select the faster shipping option).
Whew!! That was a lot of info.
***Remember, if you do decide to join this book club: first, create an account with the website and sign in; second, sign up for the class; third, purchase class books/supplies.***

And one more thing, if you choose to pay me through Venmo, please provide your name, e-mail, and phone number in the comments of your $50 Venmo payment so I can send the zoom link to you and have an alternate way to contact you as well if I need to. My venmo name is: tamara-wilcox . . . the photo is me with my red hair pulled back and I’m wearing a red blouse.
** Refunds **
If for some reason you sign up, yet can not participate and desire a refund, if you’ve paid through the website, you will need to wait until after I have closed the book club and have received payment from paolabrown.com before I am able to send you your refund. There will be a processing fee deducted from the refund since this is what I am charged for the payment going through a card using the website. Venmo payments can be made more quickly and will only be charged a processing fee if I was charged a processing fee by your telling Venmo this is a “product or service”. If Venmo does not deduct a fee, then you will receive a full refund as well.
**How do I contact you?**
You can contact me by clicking on the “Contact Leader” yellow button at the top of this page to send me an e-mail.
