Laurie Pelkey graduated from the University of Vermont with a degree in Radiation Therapy. She has been working as a Radiation Therapist in a Cancer Center for 28 years. She was introduced to homeopathy through a friend who was a naturopath, who gifted her with a basket of remedies at her baby shower for her youngest child. She began using the remedies for things like teething and bug bites and became intrigued. In 2018, she found the Academy of Homeopathy Education through a Facebook interview Paola did with Denise Straiges, president of the Academy of Homeopathy Education. The ability to study online while continuing to work at the hospital and not having to leave her family to further her education made it possible for her to pursue this dream. She graduated from the didactic portion of the program in 2022 and entered supervision. In March of 2024, she graduated from supervision and entered private practice. She lives in the Green Mountains of Vermont with her husband and youngest child. They have one dog and one cat. She is also currently studying to take the CHC (Council for Homeopathic Certification) exam in October. She is open to working with clients of all ages and with families.
