Job Opening: Content Writer

The Content Writer is a critical part of the team. You are responsible for working with PaolaBrown.com’s Marketing Team to craft conversion-worthy, original content for:

  • Ads
  • Social media
  • Business to Customer emails
  • Business to Business emails
  • Blog posts
  • Web content
  • Video and Webinar scripts
  • Product Educational Materials,
  • and more!

The ideal candidate has a superb command of the English language, an exceptional ability to see things from the audience’s perspective, making the customer the hero in everything that is written, and has a resourceful and collaborative nature.

The Content Writer will report to the Marketing Manager, who is responsible for the overall marketing strategy for PaolaBrown.com. Her main objective is to hit our yearly, quarterly, and weekly revenue goals with her strong understanding of how every area of the company must be cohesive and strategic. The Content Writer will support the Marketing Manager by completing writing tasks to create content that will convert into sales.

This is not a “copy editing” job. This is writing with a full marketing strategy across multiple platforms.

The Content Writer will have a strong understanding of Paola Brown LLC products and how they are designed to help our ideal customers to understand and fully implement homeopathy into their daily lives.

The Content Writer will have a strong understanding of the Paola Brown LLC brand and will protect the brand through her writing, using verbiage that reflects the Paola Brown brand. 

The Content Writer will work with the Ads creator, collaborating on content that is engaging, shareable, and converts new and current customers with Ads.

The Content Writer is able to learn new systems like Monday.com and very receptive to feedback that improves our ability to reach our company goals. To go along with Monday.com, the  Content Writer ensures that all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are created and kept up to date, all standards and checklists are created and kept up to date, and all project management boards are created and kept up to date. She ensures that team members use these project management tools. Read below for further details on this position.

NOTE: Keep in mind that we are a growing business. That means that initially, the hours we are able to provide you are limited. You will work with the Marketing Manager to identify what your top priorities are for each week. Having said that, we are looking for someone who can grow with the company and who will take on more hours in the future to ultimately complete all of the work outlined in this job description. 

  • Responsible for creating and editing original and engaging copy that is accurate, well-researched, and meets company needs to communicate the value of Paola’s services to potential clients.
  • Has a strong understanding of Paola’s audience, which is typically women, mothers, and others who are interested in holistic health.
  • Has an intermediate understanding of homeopathic medicine (For example, she owns a kit and knows how to pick remedies for herself and family members in acute situations. She may not always get it right, and she may have lots of questions, but she has a good basic understanding).
  • Collaborates with the marketing team to meet evolving content needs.
  • Maintains strong knowledge of Paola’s ideal clientele, marketing campaigns/service offerings, etc.
  • Conducts research to formulate ideas to support writing educational posts.
  • Constantly works at knowing target audiences, pain points, Paola’s product lines and teaching/courses in order to write appealing sales copy that converts.
  • She will develop copy for:
    • Ads
    • Social media
    • Business to Customer emails
    • Business to Business emails
    • Blog posts
    • Web content
    • Video and Webinar scripts
    • Product Educational Materials,
    • and more!
  • Ready to learn and grow with monthly trainings with both reading books and possibly attending online webinars. 
  • Provide finished deliverables that are consistently on time and compliant with Marketing assignments
  • Content volume goals met regularly
  •  You have experience with Monday.com
  • You have participated in any of Paola Brown’s programs, including: Teach Me Homeopathy Book Club Program, and my Teach Me Health and Homeopathy curriculum (for grades 1-12 and/or the Pre-K and Kindergarten Primer)
  • A long time follower of Paola would be an excellent candidate.
  • You have experience using Google Suite (mail, docs, drive, calendar)
  • She will work 6 hours a week divided evenly between Monday-Friday or Monday-Saturday. The hours are flexible, but she must consistently work throughout the week.
  • As the company grows, more hours will be given. Someone who can grow with the company is a big plus.
  • Review and write content creation assignments from the Marketing Team
  • Check-in with team members to follow up on tasks they need to accomplish
  • Answer questions from the team to help move their projects forward
  • Brainstorm ideas with Marketing Manager for new content
  • Review the Facebook Group and social media once a week to know what’s happening in the group
  • Document and build SOPs for all processes assigned to you
  • Review IG Live topics and outlines which you will use to write copy
