Success in homeopathy has many different faces. For me, when I think of success in homeopathy, it looks a little something like this:
You’re on the phone with a congressman. Your son falls off the trampoline, hits his face on the trampoline pole, knocks out 2/3rds of his tooth and is sobbing in a bloody mess. You can mute the phone, not lose your concentration with the congressman, and give your kid Hypericum as he lays in your lap. You can then quickly finish up the important phone call.
It looks like confidence in selecting a remedy because you know the remedies.
When I first started homeopathy, I thought I could never understand the remedies as well as the homeopaths I was listening to. But I can and so can you!
Music Helps Our Memory
Did you know that our brains are hard-wired to connect music with long-term memory? The parts of the brain that respond to music are very closely located by the parts of the brain associated with memory, emotion and mood. Favorite songs associated with important personal events can trigger not only the memory of lyrics, but also the emotional experience connected to the music. Even for persons with severe dementia, music can tap deep emotional recall.
Through listening to the music they love, a previously unresponsive or agitated person can feel calmer or more joyful. Personalized music has been shown to increase cooperation and attention, reduce agitation and “sundowning” as well as enhancing engagement and fostering a calmer social environment. “Custom-tailored” music improves quality of life by enabling the listener to reconnect, regain social skills, and live more fully.
I’ve always known about the power of music. I still remember learning my 6 skip counting with the monkeys in the jungle song, and till this day it comes to my head when I’m teaching one of my kids the 6. I’ve also played the piano since I was young. I’m not amazing at it, but I really love how it makes me feel. This is why my kids have all been in music lessons since they were 4ish—I really know personally about the power of music.
Memory Work Music
Understanding the power that music has in formulating our memories is also why I wanted to make my Memory Work Music. I developed songs for the 19 homeopathic remedies taught in my curriculum Evie and the Secret of Small Things along with a few true health principles.
When you listen to my music, you’re going to see that each song has its own specific style so that no two songs sound similar to one another. There are also a lot of careful details, even subconscious details, built into the songs to help you to remember the remedies.
Let’s look at my song for Belladonna as an example. The song begins with the sound of a heart beat to remind listeners that a major keynote of Belladonna is “throbbing”. When kids are describing their symptoms, they will often say that they can “feel their heartbeat” rather than using the term throbbing. The rest of the symptom picture can be found in the lyrics:
When your symptoms are red, hot, angry, and throbbing, reach for Belladonna, there’s no need for sobbing. For symptoms dry, swollen, painful, and sore, or a sudden high fever of 103 or more, that’s Belladonna.
You’ll notice the lyrics do not describe a specific diagnosis—just the symptom picture. This symptom picture can be present in sunburns, flus, infections, and more so we want to be careful not to limit the remedy.
Another great example song to look at is my song for Aconite. The song is introduced by a variation of the Jaws theme song indicating the fear and shock that are keynotes of this remedy. Aconite is a must have for any homeopathic first aid kit. It addresses the body’s physical and emotional reactions to physical trauma—particularly if the patient is experiencing a great fear of death from the extent of their injuries.
Use Aconite when symptoms come on suddenly from pain, or fright, or cold wind exposure. Aconite is for any type of shock including accidents, physical trauma, sudden illness, or emotional drama.
Testimonials
“We have been listening to the music in the car and it pops up often. I sprained my ankle and my daughter (5) started singing the song for Symphytum before I could even think straight. My son (3) got stung by a bee and quickly yelled through tears that he needed Ledum. During school my daughter was asked for three short “a” words. She said “ask, at, Aconite” so obviously we are already impressing it on their hearts.”

“I LOVE the memory work CDs! We just started listening to them and I’m already catching myself humming and singing as I go about the day. I love that my kids are going to grow up with this info, like fevers aren’t to be scared of. They won’t have to undo the anxiety of being taught to fear all fevers! Well done, Paola. 👏🏻♥️ So much good stuff packed into these little ditties. 😁”

I want you to be a Momeopath expert and recall remedies and their uses when in a stressful situation. I want you to be as calm as I was on that phone call so that you can think clearly. And a fantastic tool to get you there is music. Harnessing the power of music will help you feel confident in your ability to select remedies during acute illnesses or injuries.
