About the Class

The time has come! Teaching your children homeopathy — and passing this knowledge on for generations to come — is at your fingertips! You’ve heard it before: If you don’t have your health, you don’t have anything. Many of us have learned this the hard way—myself included. Teach Me Health and Homeopathy is unique because it is the first literature-based homeopathy curriculum designed for students of multiple grades. It includes a book of stories (with an audiobook option), a teacher’s manual, a student workbook (leveled for three grades), beautiful illustrations, recorded supplemental videos available online, digital remedy flashcards and games for memory work, a digital vocabulary and reading guide for 8th grade students and older, and even a collection of songs to help children memorize important homeopathy facts. The unique material will enchant the whole family and make learning fun and accessible. What grade levels can participate?

Children of grade levels (1-12) are welcome. Parents are welcome to participate.

We will all be engaged in a time of learning together!

The only difference between the grade levels is the student workbook. So, I will teach mixed grade levels with a one-room-schoolhouse approach. I have experience teaching in this manner and the beauty of the one-room-schoolhouse approach is that there are ample opportunities for older students to model and serve younger students and for younger students to learn from and look up to older students. It may surprise you, but I have seen it over and over again, that older students (and myself) learn a lot from the younger ones too.

What is the cost?

Not only are your kids (and you) going to learn about homeopathy, but by nature of the Teach Me Health and Homeopathy, as well as my classical education experience, you are getting an integrated mode of learning which also includes literature, writing, grammar, history, health science, art, and logic/critical thinking. Consider those elements as you plan your homeschool year and weeks for this 2024-2025 school year.

Will there be homework?

Yes. Homework will include weekly reading, memory work, and writing assignments. I will also encourage continued learning throughout the week by playing one of the Teach Me Health and Homeopathy games, doing additional memory activities, enjoying re-reading the story, or completing a journal entry throughout the week.

What curriculum will you be using to teach this class?

I will be using the curriculum, Teach Me Health and Homeopathy by Paola Brown which has been endorsed by the Academy of Homeopathy Education. This is a literature-based curriculum that is multidisciplinary and covers four key units described below.

What does the curriculum cover?

Unit 1: The Terrain is Everything
This first unit is designed to “prime the pump” (or in this case, the mind) around the principles that govern homeopathy. Students meet the father of terrain theory, Antoine Béchamp, and the father of the theory of suppression, Louis Pasteur. These concepts prepare students to understand the powerful lessons about homeopathy.

Unit 2: Unlocking Homeopathy
Once the groundwork has been laid in Unit 1, Unit 2 introduces students to the basic precepts of
homeopathic medicine. It covers the history of homeopathy by introducing Samuel Hahnemann, discusses the dangers of suppressing disease, and helps students think critically about various treatments found in conventional medicine. This unit also introduces students to a central book in homeopathic medicine, the materia medica. Finally, this unit touches on the idea that homeopathic remedies can be made from various existing substances, which will lead students into the third unit.

Unit 3: The Laws of Homeopathy
Parents and teachers will be excited to delve into this unit. It’s where the concepts about homeopathy really take form, and students can dig into the fun part of homeopathy. Students are instructed on how a homeopathic medicine is made via dilution and succussion, and they learn about homeopathic case-taking.

Unit 4: Homeopathic Medicines for Accidents
This final unit in the curriculum brings the concepts that students have learned to a grand finale where students learn about which homeopathic medicines are best suited for various acute conditions. The focus of this unit is centered around the topic of accidents. The stories and discussions in this segment often make it the favorite unit in the entire curriculum.

Will you be teaching kids to self-prescribe homeopathy remedies?

Absolutely not! Kids should never handle medical treatment on their own. But similar to teaching a student about chemical reactions, gravity, and the world around them, this curriculum aims to teach them truths and laws that govern health with particular emphasis on homeopathy. We want kids to feel empowered to become healthier and to know about homeopathic medicine in a meaningful way, but we make sure they do not treat any ailment or injury until they are adults. When can I buy my materials at the wholesale group discount?
